Works under the direction of the Head/ Charge Nurse to provide optimum nursing care to all residents on the unit.* Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.* Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders, and Department of Health regulations.* Performs all treatments according to physician's specific order and established policies and procedures.* Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.* Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $31.42 per hourBenefits:* Paid time offMedical Specialty:* GeriatricsPhysical Setting:* Long term care* Nursing home* Rehabilitation centerLicense/Certification:* LPN License in NY State (Required)Work Location: In person
