Job Description:

ESL (TESOL)/Korean Language Teacher (Amenia, NY), Duties incl: Instruct the following lessons to the school's middle & high school students; create engaging lesson plans (50% of time): ESL 1 (beginner level)

- Middle school (students from Korea, China) ESL 3 (intermediate level )
- Middle & High school (students from Korea, China) Korean 6th Grade
- Middle school Korean 7-8 grade
- Middle school Korean 9-12 grade
- High school; Provide clear info (through periodic course syllabus) to students & parents regarding class objectives, weekly assignments, homework reqmnts, grading rubrics, & grading scales.

(20% of time); Employ a wide variety of teaching methods designed to create oppty's for deep understanding & differentiated instruction for all levels of ability w/in a class, incl serving students identified w/special educational needs.

(10% of time);Guide students in their social-emotional development w/a focus on developing self-mgmt, making good choices, & setting well-defined classroom & school-wide expectations.

(10% of time); Take responsibility for being a spiritual role model & leader for students.

(5% of time); & obey Christ by maintaining a demeanor of Christian ethics & integrity.

(5% of time).

Must have a Bach's deg or foreign equiv in Education, English or reltd.

Must be fluent in Korean.

Sal:$65,560.00/yr.
